Radha Poovendran, along with Kathie Olsen of the Office of Science and Technology Policy.

Assistant Professor Radha Poovendran was recently named a recipient of the Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE).

The PECASE program "honors and supports the extraordinary achievements of young professionals at the outset of their independent research careers in the fields of science and technology". It is the highest honor the United States' government bestows on young scientists and engineers in the early part of their careers.

Radha was one of four UW recipients, out of only 58 nationwide. Congratulations!
