Congratulations to our newest IEEE Fellow, Jenq-Neng Hwang. Professor Hwang's fellow citation reads "For
contributions to adaptive learning systems." He joins over 16 other EE faculty members in this prestigious honor.
Congratulations to Mark Curry, who took 2nd prize in the student paper contest at the US national meeting of the
International Union of Radio Science. He is working with Professor Kuga on imaging arrays.
According to informal communications, our newest assistant professors appear to have obtained at least 2 or 3
CAREER Awards from NSF. We are still awaiting official announcements so - stay tuned.

The fall Mobile Robotics course got a lot of press exposure, including in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer,
on three local TV channels, Northwest Cable News, and both TV and Newspapers in about 12 other cities.
