Affiliates' papers in 'Top 100'

A paper co-authored by Pavel Nikitin, Affiliate Assistant Professor in the EE Department, has remained on the IEEE's list of 100 most accessed documents for six consecutive months - as of June it was in position 56. Nikitin co-wrote "Antenna Design for UHF RFID Tags: A Review and a Practical Application," with his colleagues at Intermec Technologies Corporation, where he is a Lead Engineer.

The article was published in IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation last December.

"The History of Linear Prediction", written by Affiliate Professor Bishnu Atal, is currently the IEEE's 53rd most accessed article. The paper recollects the events that led to proposing the linear prediction coding (LPC) method, then the multipulse LPC and the code-excited LPC.

The article was published in IEEE Signal Processing in March 2006.
