Xiaolan Xu Wins Student Paper Award at IGARSS '09
At this year's IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS) held in Cape Town,
South Africa, EE graduate student Xiaolan Xu was one of ten finalists selected to present their papers
as part of a special student competition session at the symposium. Her paper, "Microwave Scattering Properties of Dry Snow using the Bi-continuous Random Media", won second prize in this competition.
Xiaolan's paper was co-authored with Professor Leung Tsang and Dr. Kung-Hau Ding.
