Sina Nia Kosari wins NSERC postgraduate scholarship
EE Ph.D. Student Sina Nia Kosari has been awarded a postgraduate scholarship by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). Sina is working with Professors Howard Chizeck and Blake Hannaford on problems of automation in robotic surgery.
NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships provide financial support to high-caliber scholars engaged in graduate research in the natural sciences and engineering. Awards are based on academic excellence, research potential, and communication, as well as interpersonal and leadership abilities. The award provides funding for three years.
