Mari Ostendorf receives Rigas Award
Professor Mari Ostendorf has been honored with the Harriett B. Rigas Award from the IEEE Education Society. The award, which is sponsored by Hewlett-Packard, will be presented to her on October 28th during the Frontiers in Education Conference in Washington, D.C.
The Rigas Award recognizes excellence in teaching, the development of educational technology which enhances student learning, and active participation in encouraging increased participation of women in electrical and computer engineering. Nominees must be tenured or tenure track women faculty members in an ABET-accredited engineering program in the United States, with teaching and/or research specialization in electrical/computer engineering.
