Remote Access Lab Proposal Funded
An EE proposal written to the UW Tech Fee Committee for an Electrical Engineering Remote Access Lab has been preliminarily funded for approximately $86,000.
This proposal will help create a virtual lab space where students can remotely connect from home or anywhere in the world and complete their assignments remotely. The goal is to simulate the exact computing lab image that we have - as if the user is on campus, working in front of a lab computer. Remote access to both Windows and Linux environments will be available.
The funds will be available in a few months. We hope to have it functional sometime during the fall quarter of 2010.
