Shwetak Patel Awarded Sloan Fellowship

EE and CSE Professor Shwetak Patel has been selected as a 2012 Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow.

Sloan Research Fellowships seek to stimulate fundamental research by early-career scientists and scholars of outstanding promise.  Each year, these extraordinarily competitive two-year fellowships are awarded to researchers in recognition of distinguished performance and a unique potential to make substantial contributions to their field.

Patel is the fourth EE faculty member to have won the Sloan Fellowship — Georg Seelig (2011), Scott Hauck (2001), and Eve Riskin (1994) are previous Sloan Fellowship honorees.

Congratulations Shwetak!
