Raven II in the Media
After a successful open house demonstration of the Raven II surgical robots, the project has generated several interesting articles and videos in the media.
Eight surgical robots have been built under the Raven II project and will provide the first open-source platform to develop the future of surgical robotics. After a round of final tests, the systems will be shipped to medical robotics researchers at Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of California, Los Angeles. The others will remain at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and UW.
