Studarus and Greenhall win Hydro Research Foundation Fellowships

Graduate students Karen Studarus and Adam Greenhall have just won Hydro Research Foundation fellowships. Studarus will study short term optimal scheduling of the Bonneville Power Administration hydro system with real world constraints. Greenhall is developing an improved stochastic unit commitment algorithm for high-stochasticity generating resources, to permit coordinated scheduling of wind and hydro. Both students are advised by Professor Rich Christie. Studarus and Greenhall are two of only ten recipients awarded this fellowship this year.
