WiSee Receives Best Paper Award at Mobicom 2013
Congratulations to EE and CSE professor Shwetak Patel for receiving the best paper award at the 19th Annual International Conference on Mobile Computing and Networking (Mobicom 2013)! Coauthors of the award-winning paper include graduate students Sidhant Gupta and Qifan Pu, and UW professor Shyam Gollakota.
The paper titled, "Whole Home Gesture Recognition Using Wireless Signals" discusses their breakthrough work in sensing and recognizing specific human gestures by leveraging wireless transmissions in the environment (e.g., WiFi).
