Bilmes' Paper Selected for Inclusion in "25 Years of International Conference on Supercomputing"

A paper written by Professor Jeff Bilmes as a graduate student has been selected for inclusion in the upcoming volume of "25 years of International Conference on Supercomputing." The selection committee considered 100 most cited papers out of approximately 1800 papers published in the ICS proceedings between 1987 and 2011. Bilmes' paper titled, "Optimizing Matrix Multiply using PHiPAC: a Portable, High-Performance, ANSI C Coding Methodology," is one of only 35 papers selected for inclusion in the volume. The volume's publication is sponsored by ACM SIGARCH, which has been the conference sponsor since its inception, and it will become part of the ACM Digital Library.

The recent work of Bilmes and his graduate student Rishabh Iyer have also received many accolades, including two best paper awards within the last year alone.
